Inventing the Future of Patient Care

The University of Missouri - Columbia recognizes the growing need to improve patient care through the invention and development of new medical technologies. The MU Biodesign and Innovation Program (MUBIP) purpose is to meet this need in health care and invent the future of patient care through two tiers, multidisciplinary faculty collaboration within the University of Missouri - Columbia and formal education training in the biodesign process. Collaborative efforts between the Department of Surgery and College of Engineering faculty through research bring new innovations in biodesign to meet the growing needs of health care. The educational goal of the fellowship program is to produce high-quality, innovative professionals with the desire and knowledge to continue producing successful medical technologies.
